into not taking the next one
at exactly the same time
and wait for the blood bag to burst

and the small graceful practiced way of panning back and forth
engaged in slight gestures of men who aren't sure
what's expected of them

The slight wincing quality
of vague elusive apology
without any particular message or association

A crude line drawn face
fingers curled in the universal gesture
of inmates everywhere
